RFC: PR 9946 - template parameters


I would like comments on this patch.  Barring comments I plan to check
it in after a decent interval.

This fixes PR 9946.  The bug is that template parameters are not visible
when debugging in gdb.

For types the approach is simple: put template parameters into the
C++-specific type structure.  Note, though, that I put symbols in there;
see below.

For template functions, the fix is trickier.  I considered putting the
info into struct cplus_specific, in fact pushed Sami to get this in
sooner so that I could, but eventually I realized that this would make
all C++ symbols bigger, even those not needing this.

So, instead of that I introduced a subclass of symbol and put the new
information there.  This subclass is indicated by a flag in struct
symbol (I used one of the 2 free bits).

Both types and template functions point to symbols.  These symbols can't
be entered into any ordinary symbol table or block, because their
scoping is "different".  So, I put them into a new field in objfile,
linked through their (otherwise unused) hash_next fields.  This is
needed so that objfile relocation can do the right thing.

For proper lookup I just hacked the appropriate C++-specific call.

Built and regtested on x86-64 (compile farm).

I also tested locally with an svn trunk g++.  The needed DWARF output is
relatively new.

This work discovered a couple of follow-on bugs in g++, see the .exp
file.
