I would merge 2 & 3, as they are clearly related. And if you applied
2, but not 3, even though you wouldn't break any other build, you'd
introduce a target that doesn't build, because the -tdep files are
missing. (this is not a strong opinion - Pedro might think differently
and I would defer to him).
