For what it's worth, I don't really care too much about top posting.
I'd still avoid it, though, because this is a convention, and
avoids mixing top-posting and non-top-posting, which starts making
things very confusing.
The part that makes me waste time, on the other hand, is looking at
an email with a super long message being quoted, mixed with one tiny
answer somewhere in the middle or at the end. Personally, I always
only quote the part I'm answering, so others don't have to go hunt
for what my email adds to the thread. It also reduces the chances
that part of what I wrote got missed.
