    Tim and Jose,
    Could you run the test added in this patch with python 2.6?  I can't find
    a machine with python 2.6 installed.

The revised patch fixes the build with python 2.6.6.

However, couldn't test the py-record-btrace.exp, because btrace is
disabled in sparc targets.
