Takis Psarogiannakopoulous is an active gcc+gdb developer. He has a toolkit, DGUX-R420MU07-DEVTOOLS.tar.gz, with gcc 2.95.3 and gdb 5.1 and many other gnu tools.

This is sufficient activity that I am dropping the obsoletion proposal for dg/ux.
Takis's toolchain uses "DWARF2 and GNU stabs" so we don't have to worry about dg/ux and dwarf-1.
