Hello,
I'm working on the old bugs in the gdb bug database. This bug is 27 months old, which is our fault, not yours.
It looks to me like this bug was fixed in gdb 5.2.1 and is still fixed in gdb 5.3 and gdb 5.3.91. Would you be interested in downloading gdb 5.3 and checking it for yourself?
If there are still bugs with templates and user-defined functions in gdb 5.3 then I am interested in fresh bug reports. Bug reports against gdb 5.3.91 would be even better.
