I don't remember the exact details that let me to post the gdb symtab/776 bug.
I attempted to plausibly recreate what I did.
I am unable to see this problem in
GNU gdb 5.1.1
gdb 6.0
nor in a gdb world built from the source checkout:
cvs -d :pserver:anoncvs@sources.redhat.com:/cvs/src co -r kettenis_sparc-20030918-branch gdb+dejagnu
I think that bug symtab/776 can be retired.
