Cross development on i686-pc-linux-gnu host for mips-linux-gnu target

>Description:
When debugging a dynamically linked executable on the mips-linux-gnu target, the 'next' command does not work when attempting to step over a call to a library function. A transcript of a debug session is attached. The test program used to generate it is a trivial 'Hello,world' program. While the transcript was generated doing remote debugging using gdbserver, the behavior is identical if gdb is running on the target natively.
