FYI the support currently exists in a 3rd party patch:

(gdb) p n
$2 = 3
(gdb) p a
$3 = {0, 0, 4195179}
(gdb) p sizeof(a)
$4 = 12
The patch is going to be submitted in parts for FSF GDB.
