With current g++ and gdb (Fedora 15), everything works ok for me.
I still see the weird class name, but I can print everything fine.
Weird class name:
(gdb) whatis ysimple
type = /* real type = SubSub<(GNetConn)0> * */
SubSub<(GNetConn)0> *
