Sounds like something is calling target_terminal_ours and not then missing
calling target_terminal_inferior, to unregister stdin from the event loop while
the program is running.
I wonder whether the users/palves/immediate_quit branch:

fixes this, since patches #20 -> #26 fix some cases like that.
