GDB snapshot 2000-01-31 out and IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

I'm going to be making multiple snapshots this week.  Andrew Cagney will
be adding in some code to the GDB source base that we've been developing
internally here at Cygnus.  I'll make a new snapshot every time he adds
in a new bunch of code, and you'll see a note from him each time he
does this.

Here is the real crowd pleaser:  At the end of the week I am going
to migrate the active GDB repository from our internal repository
to sourceware.cygnus.com.  This means that all non-confidential[1]
GDB development done here at Cygnus will be done in full public view.
You'll be seeing the changes as they are added, warts and all. :-)

[1] Some work we do at Cygnus (now Red Hat) is done confidentially for
    a limited time.  Everything we develop is eventually released to
    the public.  The reasons for keeping work confidential are pretty
    straightforward; things like ports of GDB to processors that have
    not yet been announced and stuff.  This confidential work will still
    take place on the internal Cygnus CVS server and merged in to the
    sourceware repository when it is releasable.

Once the dust settles, the next step will be to set up write access for
major GDB contributors who are reponsible for parts of the GDB code base.
We don't have the details figured out for how we'll handle this, but
it's a safe bet that it will work a lot like the way GCC project operates.
