[Please repost and forward this article widely, wherever it is appropriate. (After removing the gnu-prog address!)] To all GNU maintainers and other GNUs -- Georg Greve Hi Everyone ! In a few days I will be starting to write my first "Brave GNU World" column. The plan is to make this a monthly column that informs about internal developments of the GNU Project and things of importance to us as well as a way of conveying the philosophy to the broad public. The column will be online on the GNU homepage in English and German and the "Linux Magazin", Germany's biggest GNU/Linux magazine, will be printing it. It is intended to turn this into a forum for all GNU projects. Richard and I agreed that it would be good if all GNU maintainers wrote little "status reports" once in a while that could be used for the column to keep people interested and updated. So if you have a GNU Project and would like to improve its profile, send a mail to: "Brave GNU World" <column@gnu.org> Some examples on what to send to this account are: * Announcements besides the normal, like "future plans" for some projects and "big announcements" * If a project needs volunteers for something * If you think something doesn't get enough publicity at the moment * If there is a project that needs to be done right now but noone could be found to work on it yet * Whatever you think could be useful to be made public... I'm always open for ideas and suggestions so don't hesitate to contact the above address. -- Georg C. F. Greve <greve@gnu.org> "People who fight may lose. People who do not fight have already lost." -- Bertolt Brecht
