You don't offer much to go on. For what it's worth, calling inferior
functions with a freshly built-from-the-last-snapshot NetBSD/i386 gdb
with the following test code:
JT's example works fine for me too. That is, on Linux 2.2.12 on a
i586 with a post 2.1.2 glibc from early october.
