Hi,
this basically is the same patch I posted a couple of months ago.
It moves regexp from Tcl8.0 into expect, meaning that expect isn't
effected by the Tcl8.3 upgrade (which uses a different regexp).
It also gets a round a couple of other expect related Tcl/Tk
upgrade problems.
The patch and new files can be found here:
http://www.cygnus.com/~irox/expect/expect-upgrade-r2.tar.gz
Untar it in your expect source directory and apply the patch.
I've tested it under Windows and GNU/Linux without seeing
any problems (and I believe other people tested the first
patch without any problems).
I'm planning on checking this into expect in a couple of
hours unless somebody can talk me out of it.
