Subject: Setting up GDB for remote debugging

Hello

I'm writing a remote debugger which is supposed to work with GDB. I've used 
this all-purpose stub as a starting point :

I was hoping some of you could tell me what I have to setup in the GDB for it 
to work - I'm thinking in the .gdbinit file I have to make. Of course I'm not 
asking about the specific stuff, but of a guideline to whats needed.
