Hello all.

This is a warning that we get when step-debugging our programs. It is reported x 6 but for different addresses, so a complete example is as following:

warning: (Internal error: pc 0x3ff80006780 in read in psymtab, but not in symtab.)

warning: (Internal error: pc 0x3ff80006780 in read in psymtab, but not in symtab.)

GDB is v5.3, built on UNIX OSF5.1 for an Alpha processor system.

I 'd also like to note that v5.1 of the debugger in our old environment (UNIX OSF4.0g for Alpha) does not have this kind of behaviour.

Any help would be much appreciated.
