ppc-stub.c (non kernel) anywhere?

Curently in an embedded project, I've been using gdbserver to connect
gdb to my app. But, my app has to fork / exec to start gdbserver.
Using a gdb stub would be much more elegant & efficient.
But, even though there's low level ppc stuff in gdbserver, there doesn't
seem to be a ppc-stub.c Anyone know where I can find one? The one in
the linux kernel is a bit ugly with all the kgdb stuff in it.
