ptrace error

Subject: ptrace error

Hi,

I created a program that just runs an infinite loop. Compile using xlC on AIX, run and attached with GDB. When I tried next, I got:

ptrace: There is an input or output error..

Am I doing something wrong? Is that a known problem?
