Concerning the reassignment of this bug from libc to manual:
On one hand this issue doesn't affect any C files, on the other hand it doesn't
affect anything in the manual/ subdirectory. But the assignment doesn't matter
too much, it's only a couple of one-line changes to text files and won't take
long whoever does them.
The affected files (in CVS HEAD) are:
BUGS
FAQ
FAQ.in
intl/locale.alias
po/nl.po
So vi +/glibcbug BUGS FAQ* intl/locale.alias po/nl.po
For the last one, I don't really speak dutch, but I suggest changing
Rapporteer deze programmafout met het 'glibcbug' script.
to
Rapporteer deze programmafout: zie http://www.gnu.org/software/libc/bugs.html.
(OffTopic: I forgot to say in the initial report, but the reason I came to
notice this issue is that I was looking at some source files in an old glibc 2.3
tarball I had lying around, and noticed a very minor bug, barely even a bug,
just something where the code was doing something other than what the programmer
had wanted. The README file in that release directed me to use the glibcbug
shell script, so I had a look at that -- and noticed several (relatively minor)
bugs in the bug-reporting script! I then decided I needed to check that I had
the most recent version of glibc before reporting it (I hadn't realized just how
old the tarball was), and am happy to report that both the initial very minor
bug and the glibcbug shell script are gone in the current version. Nice to see
that other people are reading through the sources and addressing these little
things. So thanks.)
