Carlos, I'm reopening this because the backports were not internally
consistent; you backported a configure.in change to use LIBC_TRY_CC_OPTION but
not the definition of that macro, so the configure scripts cannot be
regenerated on 2.15 branch. I suppose at least the macro definition should be
backported - and you should make sure that on both master and 2.15 branch, for
both libc and ports, all the configure scripts do correspond to what you get
when you regenerate them consistently with autoconf 2.68.
