Whatever the cause of this (which was probably an issue with the build
environment or build tools used), it certainly can't appear after my patch
commit 531f1ae0a79b9c3a91654750b11d25b256d7215f

Generate /usr/libexec/getconf files when cross-compiling.
as no newly built programs linked with the new glibc will be run during build /
install any more.
