In principle I agree that whatever assembly glue there is between the
application's call and the dynamic loader's C code should preserve the
parameter registers. The main argument against doing that is that it causes
runtime overheads that often are unnecessary, e.g. saving FP registers can be
avoided.
Ultimately it's up to the aarch64 maintainers to decide how to resolve this
issue.
