i'm not using samba nor glibc expart, but i'd do:
1) what happens if you down grade from 2.1.2 to 2.1.1
2) what happens if you upgrade the server to 2.1.2
3) search it on the net to see somebody reporting the same thing
samba ml should be a good place to start :)
or it just might be your hardware as the kernel says.
