RE: Linking problem with glibc 2.2

hey all
i've seen that this question is posted also but i lost that archive
so i'm questioning again
" i tried to install glibc 2.2 on slackware 7.0 with all necessary tools for
glibc
like make 3.79 and binutils , it compiled fine , but now i can't access my
sysetm
its saying "/lib/ld-linux.so.2 doesn't have GLIBC_VERSION(2.2) as needed by
/usr/local/lib/libc.so.6"
i booted with my ramdisk distribution, mounted my drive and copied the new
linker
ld-2.2.so to /lib and make a link ld-linux.so.2->ld-2.2.so
but now its unable to load libtermcap.so.2

I can't even login IN the system, its respawns too fast at init level , or
/sbin/getty prompts its not able to load libtermcap.so.2

I have tried to remove new libc2.2 also but if i remove libc.so.6 from
/usr/local/lib
and relink /lib/ld-linux.so.2 to /lib/ld-2.1.2.so , it runs login but login
doesn't authenticate any user pass and when i press ctrl+alt+del i get
message "You doesn't exist - Go away"
passwd is alright with all appropriate logins.

I was updating it over glibc 2.1.2 which is default with slack 7.0.

can anybody help?
Thanks
- basit
