Yeah, I downloaded the official version from GNU.
But I cannot find the source code or unstripped version glibc-2.1.3 for the
mandrake anywhere.
Do you know where I can find one?

Did you recompile the 2.1.3 mandrake version or did you install the
official version from the net? In the latter case this might be the
problem since Mandrake might have added fixes to 2.1.3 that are
needed.
