Not yet, no. GCC-3.0.x will do so eventually, but not presently; patches
are being bandied about on both the glibc and gcc mailing lists that
should resolve this. (It's quite complicated; old C++ programs need to
be able to throw exceptions through new glibcs, and vice versa, and
there's libgcc in the picture as well...)

Agh, I can't spell, that should have been 2.95.4pre. Sorry.

Yep, the glibc-2.2.4 release notes mentioned it. I don't know if they're
archived anywhere.
