Ah, noticed what i did wrong.
The makefile suggested (...)/guile/site-lisp as SCHEME_INSTALLDIR.
this directory is not in my SCHEME_LOAD_PATH, so the scripts can't find the files it contains. 
I changed that makefile-entry to /usr/share/guile/site-scheme, which is in my
SCHEME_LOAD_PATH and makes much more sense anyways.
