It's actually written _entirely_ in Scheme, except of course for the
MIT Scheme implementation's primitives. However, it does not support
all the features that Emacs does; Emacs comes with a _lot_ of elisp
files for all sorts of strange things. So they certainly have not
ported _all_ of the elisp to Scheme.
