Klaus, what you are doing is great, and I am thinking about how to set
up a distribution of specialized Guile wrappers with GSL. I hope you
don't mind if I include your code.

Brian put in libtool support at one point, but has it commented out
now; it will be back eventually, once we figure out how to make a
single library out of it all.
