ILU can be configured fairly small, depending on what you want it to do. It's hard to benchmark ORBs rationally, but ILU runs about as fast as HP's OrbPlus, a bit faster than Orbix, not as fast as omniORB, in some measurements. So far as I know, ILU doesn't support Objective-C, though someone may have put together support for it. Bill
