guile-tk - does it work?

Dear friends:

I did not succeed to compile guile-tk (I tried both guile-1.3 and
the current snapshot of guile-core). 
The error (in libguiletk) is:
tk-glue.c: In function `STk_append_callback_parameters':
tk-glue.c:338: `scm_regular_string' undeclared (first use this function)

Any suggestions?
