They almost definately won't break anything, but trying to squeeze everything in is just going to slow down the release, which probably should just be generated from the current cvs tree now (yes, there are bugs, and known bugs, but they're also in 1.3, as well as the io slowness; that's the one that *everyone* is going to hit, so any improvement is a step forward). There isn't anything preventing the rest of the bug fixes to become part of a release a short while after the next one. Really, I think a bit too much weight is being put on releases... if we try to fix every single bug before making it, by the time the release gets out, we'll be the only people who will care, since everyone else has been turned off by the most glaring bugs in the last release. -- Greg
