ILU uses the CORBA protocols, and it seems to try to even be
compatible with CORBA at the source code level (i.e. you can use an
ILU-generated stub with an application written for a CORBA system).  So
if I wanted to use Guile to write or manipulate CORBA objects, I'd
start by looking at ILU.
