What a pity, but seems that it has to be.
As before in the case of Mika, I think we all agree that we have to thank
Jim for several years (again I don't know exact numbers) of great work
for the guile project.

Probably the best that can happen to the GDB, which many of us use
religiously for their daily work. :)

Who has resigned himself, just a few days ago. :(

I'd also add Per Bothner (working on Scheme->Java bytecode), Greg Harvey
(work on garbage collector), Jost Boekemeyer (working on environments),
Russ Mc Manus (several utilities for guile), Christian Lynbech (working
on goops), Mark Galassi (working on many things and one more), Aubrey
Jaffer (author of SCM), Olin Shivers (main contributor to Scheme I
mplementation Request movement), Bernard Urban (working on Scheme->C
compilation), Miguel de Icaza (working on several guile-gtk applications),
Richard Frith-Macdonald (maintainer of debian guile package).
Again I'm not exhaustive, mispelled many names, and most important can't
give ant warranty concerning availability of the mentioned persons.
