help or tutorial or book

As an introduction - - heretofore, i have not been a programmer
but something has changed ( funny how it seems that, what once was a
life,
looks quite small from space.

i'm a student who has just finished a course in scheme ( this language
rocks )at the university of nm and want to extend scheme now to guile
anybody got any sources for tutorials or books, etc??

ps - - i'm upper beginner in c but if it ( c ) is a must to get guile,
