You might want to rethink it: while a module system should have the
capability for hierarchies, you might want to keep Guile's standard
library all in the top level. It's much easier for newbies to find stuff
that way.

CPAN, CPAN, CPAN!
Have a look about how they do it -- they got much figured out, and it even
works.
