Many months ago, Maciej had a patch for Guile that made the weird
init-never-returns-to-main-but-calls-your-function-instead behavior
unnecessary. But he hasn't committed it.
Maciej, would you be willing to post your patch here? Perhaps someone
else will take the time to commit it...
