Hmm. This is also the code that is in the Tcl generic distribution. I would 
love to see this submitted as a patch to Scriptics and see what they say 
first. I hate CYGNUS LOCAL changes, and this is definitely one.

So go ahead and accept it on the condition that it is also submitted to 
Scriptics.
