Are you sure you got the right gdb? What happens when you go to gdb's
build directory and do "./gdb"? Is DISPLAY set (I have to ask)?
(BTW, I would recommend getting the latest snapshot if you're using
Insight. There are a lot of bug fixes in the latest snapshots...)
