Hi Kieth,
Running ./gdb from the source dir worked fine. I'm assuming I can just copy
that to my /usr/bin dir. I do notice an error when I do ./gdb -nw from
the source dir though. I get the following error..

This GDB was configured as "i586-pc-linux-gnu".
Setting up the environment for debugging gdb.
.gdbinit:5: Error in sourced command file:
No symbol table is loaded.  Use the "file" command.
(gdb) 

What does this mean? I'm a bit of a newb with gdb.
