1.7.90 (or the CVS version) seems to be okay; I have
tested on a sparc and on FC2 (dual x86).

jdk1.4.0_03-b04 on a sparc SUNW,Ultra-60 with kawa 1.7
crashes immediately with a null pointer exception:
at
gnu.bytecode.CodeAttr.emitInvokeMethod(CodeAttr.java:1172)
The crash usually happens when the threads start.
Once the whole system is running, it is running
without problems. So the MacX problem you've mentioned
is probably just a MacX thread problem, not a problem
with kawa.
