I finaly got the info that the Madkit java code was done to support KAWA 1.6.98

What are the major features added from this version to the latest?

so there may be other problems.  But hopefully this at least

The CVS is not tagged for releases, but g.e.Interpreter was removed Mon Mar 7 17:37:02 2005.

So the last release before that was 1.7.90 on 19-Dec-2003.
