I fear this means that nobody really tested 2.1.1pre1 from the
tarballs. :-( With the three missing files from linuxthreads_db, you
can't even compile glibc 2.1.3preX (I didn't check but looking at the
Makefile the files were already missing in 2.1.3pre1). AFAIK some
people tested the linuxthreads add-on.
Just for the record: My self build tar file [1](via make dist) has now
beed sucessfully and did pass make check. I've installed the files on
my production system and will report any problems.
My systems: i686, Linux 2.2.13, gcc 2.95.2.
