Here's what I've found on my PC:
2xP2/333, Debian/Woody (Current as of Tue, 19 Sep 2000 21:38:43 -0700)
configured as:
./configure --with-elf --without-cvs --enable-add-ons=yes --enable-kernel=2.4.0
make check fails as follows:
GCONV_PATH=../iconvdata LC_ALL=C ../elf/ld-linux.so.2 --library-path ..:../math:../elf:../dlfcn:../nss:../nis:../rt:../resolv:../crypt:../linuxthreads ./bug-iconv2 > bug-iconv2.out
