I don't see any problems that would be posed by AFS in this area. AFS
doesn't have special symbolic links; AFS has a magic token (@sys), which
when present in any path is replaced by a kernel variable, but treating
that token as if it were a literal directory name works fine and is
generally what one wants anyway.
