According to you we cannot even talk to earlier glibc versions which is
completely unacceptable.

You haven't read what I wrote, have you?  Symbol versioning cannot cover
up the complet breakage of a large number of interfaces reliably and it
cannot at all cover up protocol incompatibilities.
