Franz,
Don't you think we also should check something into the
documentation on both glibc main trunk and glibc-2-2-branch?
We need to record in these versions of glibc that users on ppc
must use a binutils >= 2.13.90.0.4 when building programs
against these glibc's with gcc < 3.1.
I really don't know the clearest why to state that other
than to note that a bogus symbol conflict will be generated
when linking if a binutils older than 2.13.90.0.4 is used.
