Not much point. Tho not so long ago that was the only game in town and I wouldn't
doubt there are still folks using it.
c++ ... blech!  But you are right, suggesting use of gcc 3.2 is the right thing so
as to avoid future problems. Perhaps that's
the better wording here. gcc 3.2 is suggested tho earlier versions work, but be
warned, yadda yadda....
