EDNS0 support in the resolver?

Hi,

Looking through the CVS sources, BUGS, and the mailing list archives,
it appears nobody has ever mentioned EDNS0 (RFC 2671) in the past.
EDNS0 help when the UDP size limits hurt you (esp. if the root servers
were given AAAA records as well).

The support is included in the 8.3 train of BIND resolver code AFAIR,
and has been merged with BSDs (for example) as well. BSDs disable it
by default though, and it's configurable with 'option edns0' in
/etc/resolv.conf.

Might this be something to consider?
